3P Biopharmaceuticals awards the prize for the best Master’s Thesis (TFM)
At the closing of the fifth edition of the Master in Galenic Design and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry of the University of Navarra.
3P Biopharmaceuticals (3P), a leading organization specializing in the development of cGMP processes and manufacturing of biological products (CDMO), has awarded the prize for the best Master’s Final Project (TFM) of the fifth edition of the Master’s Degree in Galenic Design and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The award was presented by the CEO of 3P Biopharmaceuticals, Dámaso Molero, during the academic closing ceremony of the master’s degree. The award is part of the agreement signed in 2021 between 3P and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra, which aims to promote training and research in technology and production of new medicines, especially biotechnological ones.
The areas of interest of this agreement include R&D therapies, biological drug development, gene and cell therapy development and manufacturing technologies, among others. The agreement reached between the university and 3P is a very important recognition of the teaching work, both theoretical and practical, that is being carried out by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Nutrition.
This academic event was attended by prestigious profiles of the University of Navarra such as Ms. Maribel Calvo (Director of the Master) and Mr. Juan Manuel Irache (Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies), who made the presentation of the event and the guests, as well as the closing of the event.
The experimental work awarded under the title: “Implementation of a Quality Assurance System for the manufacture of famotidine 40mg floating tablets” has been carried out by Claudia Barranco del Pino. The winner was chosen by an evaluation commission composed of 3 members of 3P and will receive a prize of 400 euros.
Dámaso Molero, expressed his pleasure at awarding this prize: “Each and every one of them has carried out work of a high scientific and technical level and quality that will undoubtedly be of great help to the national and international pharmaceutical and biotechnological sector”.
In addition to the 3P Master’s Thesis Award, the collaboration between the two entities includes scholarships and prizes for the most outstanding students, as well as activities, courses, seminars, and scientific meetings.
